S7 Airlines, formely known as Siberia Airlines, is one of Russia's biggest carriers. In 2001 the airline took over another major Russian airline, Vnukovo Airlines. The original airline started operations in 1992 and has its main bases now at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo, Moscow Vnukovo and Irkutsk. The airline flies about 25 Tupolev Tu-154s, but also an increasing number of Western airliners. The Tu-154 on the picture still wears the old Siberia colours, but the S7-titles are also on the fuselage.
