- Bmibaby was a low-cost subsidiary of British Midland International, founded in 2002. It had its main operating bases at several airports in the UK, like Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff. Later some airports were abandoned and the airline flew mainly from East Midlands, Belfast and Birmingham. Bmibaby operated a fleet of Boeing 737-300 and 737-500 aircraft. In April 2012 International Airlines Group, which includes British Airways, took over BMI and its subsidiaries. Subsequently Bmibaby ceased operations in September 2012. -
