After the collapse of the Belgian national airline Sabena in 2001, its regional affiliate DAT (Delta Air Transport) was formed into a new national airline, named SN Brussels Airlines. The name changed to Brussels Airlines in 2007 after a merger with Virgin Express. For its long-haul network the airline relies on Airbus A330-300 airliners, which are mainly used on flights to destinations in Africa. The photograph shows an Airbus A330 approaching Brussels National (Zaventem) Airport.
