Airbus A320 - Syrianair

Airbus A320 Syrianair

Syrianair is the national airline of Syria. The airline was founded in 1961 as Syrian Arab Airlines by the Syrian Government as a successor of Syrian Airways which was flying since 1946. Syrian Arab Airlines took over the routes flown by Syrian Airways and United Arab Airlines. The latter existed as a short-lived airline-merger between Syrian Airways and Misrair in 1961 during the union of Syria and Egypt. Today Syrianair flies a mixed fleet of Western and ex-Soviet aircraft types. The most modern aircraft in the Syrianair fleet is the Airbus A320. The photograph is taken at Paris Orly Airport.
